Second-Hand Book Sale 

The second-hand book sale takes place in November/December each year, 
​ Boys are able to:
  • Drop off used textbooks, which the SGSWA will try and sell on their behalf
  • Buy pre-loved textbooks, at 55% of the new book price. 

75% of the proceeds generated by the book sale are returned to the book sellers, with the remainder reinvested in the school community by the SGSWA.

​2024 Second-Hand Book Sale 

 Books you wish to sell can be taken to the AMTF from 7:30am to 3:30pm on Friday 29 November and to the EBR on Monday 2 December before School.  
Books may also be handed in from recess on Monday 2 December - Wednesday 4 December but there is no guarantee of them being sorted or sold.  
Form V and Form VI (2023 and 2024) boys can drop off any current SGS text books they no longer require on Friday 29 November in the AMTF before school, at recess and lunch.  
Purchasing of books will commence at recess on Monday 2 December and continue until lunchtime on Wednesday 4 December. Parents are welcome to drop off and buy books. Entry is via the College Street gates.

Second-Hand Book Sale - Form IV in 2024 and Cadet Camp 

Boys going on Form IV Camp or Cadet Camp will have an opportunity to drop off their old (current SGS) textbooks on Friday 29 November from 7:30am until the end of lunch in the AMTF, please bring your completed 'Selling Form'. Form IV boys can also purchase books at recess and lunch.  Books can be dropped to the EBR before School on Monday 2 December.
