Second-Hand Book SaleThe second-hand book sale takes place in November/December each year,
Boys are able to:
75% of the proceeds generated by the book sale are returned to the book sellers, with the remainder reinvested in the school community by the SGSWA. |

2025 Second-Hand Book Sale
Books you wish to sell can be taken to the AMTF from 7:30am to 3:30pm on Friday 28 November and to the EBR on Monday 2 December before School.
Books may also be handed in from recess on Monday 1 December - Tuesday 2 December but there is no guarantee of them being sorted or sold.
Form V and Form VI (2024 and 2025) boys can drop off any current SGS text books they no longer require on Friday 29 November in the AMTF before school, at recess and lunch.
Purchasing of books will commence at recess on Monday 2 December and continue until 3pm on Tuesday 2 December. Parents are welcome to drop off and buy books. Entry is via the College Street gates.

Second-Hand Book Sale - Form IV in 2025 and Cadet Camp
Boys going on Form IV Camp or Cadet Camp will have an opportunity to drop off their old (current SGS) textbooks on Friday 28 November from 7:30am until the end of lunch in the AMTF, please bring your completed 'Selling Form'. Form IV boys can also purchase books at recess and lunch. Books can be dropped to the EBR before School on Monday 2 December.
